Job description
We are seeking an experienced MIS Manager to lead and develop Management Information Services across the organisation. This is a key management role, responsible for ensuring that high-quality data, systems, and processes support outstanding curriculum delivery, accurate funding returns, and an exceptional student experience. The postholder will work closely with the Group Director of MIS and contribute to strategic planning, service development, and continuous improvement across all MIS functions., * Lead and manage the MIS Records, Compliance, Timetabling and Systems teams to deliver an efficient, accurate and responsive service.
- Oversee the accurate and timely submission of statutory funding returns to external bodies, including DfE, OfS, HESA and CPCA.
- Develop and implement effective processes for data recording, validation, reporting and audit preparation.
- Co-ordinate MIS work plans and ensure alignment with curriculum teams and key Group business events such as enrolment, validations and performance reviews.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality application, enrolment, timetabling and register processes.
- Manage the MIS Service Desk to ensure effective tracking, monitoring and resolution of service requests.
- Support curriculum planning and contribute to income maximisation by applying funding methodologies effectively.
- Deputise for the Group Director of MIS as required.
- Provide strong leadership across MIS teams, including line management, staff development, workload planning and performance management.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Communication skills?, We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience managing teams within a Further Education environment.
- Strong understanding of MIS functions and learner record systems, ideally including ProSuite.
- Knowledge of FE and HE funding methodologies, ILR and HESA requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
- A proactive, customer-focused and positive approach to change., * Educated to Level 3 with Level 2 English and Maths.
- Educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience.
- Management qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
