Job description
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including -
- Champion innovation by assessing emerging technologies and applying systems engineering principles to develop the next generation of Feature Configuration Systems for Assisted & Automated Driving (ADAS)
- Lead the creation and integration of an executable system model that visualises and defines system behaviour, delivering the premium experience our customers expect
- Validate system behaviour and performance to ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and quality for our customers
- Drive continuous improvement, refining designs and implementing effective changes that enhance functionality and elevate the customer experience
- Solve complex challenges creatively, identifying hidden issues and collaborating across teams to deliver robust, innovative solutions
- Advance knowledge and standards, contributing to the evolution of ADAS systems at JLR while supporting your own growth and that of the wider team
Requirements
We're looking for someone with the right blend of experience, qualifications, and practical skills, including -
- Strategic thinker with a passion for team development and guidance, combined with proven experience in Feature Configuration for Assisted and Automated Driving (ADAS) system.
- Strong technical capability in issue triage, debugging, vehicle testing, and integration, with a collaborative mindset that considers wider organisational needs
- Experienced in Model-Based Systems Engineering, ideally using Simulink and Stateflow, and skilled in authoring and reviewing requirements using structured formats such as EARS
- Proficient in change and configuration management, underpinned by a solid foundation in Systems Engineering principles and best practices
- Hands-on experience in vehicle-level validation and Systems & Software issue triage (preferably at the software code level) to identify and resolve root causes effectively
- Knowledgeable in Driver Assistance technologies, including computer vision, image processing, machine learning, path planning, sensor fusion, vehicle dynamics, and control
- Proficient in software architecture for both Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR platforms
